Ait Ben Haddou is the oldest inhabited fortified village in the world dating back to the 11th century! It is the best example of pre-Saharan, earthen architecture.

Ouarzazate was a prominent resting place for weary travelers and traders crossing through the desert on their way to Europe. The city has expanded and is now the largest town in the Sahara and is a prominent filming location for some of today's favorite films like Gladiator, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones.
