ITINERARY

DAY ONE>

Fly to The Netherlands

This morning, we will meet in West Michigan, and our private coach will transfer us to the Chicago O’Hare airport (if flights are not available at the Grand Rapids airport) for our flight across the Atlantic to the Netherlands!

 

Our flight will include all meals, beverages, and entertainment.

DAY TWO>

Amsterdam, Netherlands

This morning, we will arrive in the vibrant city of Amsterdam, Netherlands! After we clear customs and collect our baggage, our private coach will escort us to our centrally located hotel in Amsterdam. We will have time to relax and unwind before we meet our local guide for a walking tour of the city. We will see sights such as:  

  • Old Harbor

  • Red Light District

  • Nieuwmarkt Square

  • Ann Franks House

  • The Royal Palace 

  • And so much more!

 

Afterwards, our guide can give excellent recommendations for shopping, attractions, and restaurants nearby during your free time

DAY THREE>

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Amsterdam is known for its charming canals. There is no better way to observe the Dutch capital than by boat! Enjoy sipping wine and eating cheese while taking in the gorgeous city scenery featuring Gothic cathedrals, museums, and medieval buildings with this relaxing boat tour.

Afterwards, we will stroll through the Van Gogh Museum. This iconic art museum contains the world’s largest collection of masterpieces by Vincent van Gogh! Immerse yourself in the vivid impressionist works and discover the ambitions of one of the world’s most well-known artists.

DAY FOUR>

Today is a free day to do as you wish. Feel free to consider one of these amazing excursions!

  • Wooden Shoe Factory

 

Experience the craftsmanship of classic Dutch tradition. We will visit a family-owned workshop that has been committed to preserving the art of wooden clog making for over 200 years! 

  • Countryside E-bike Tour

Feel the wind in your hair as you pedal through the Dutch countryside on this relaxing E-Bike Tour. Hills and valleys are no problem aboard an electric bike, as the battery does the hard part! There will be plenty of opportunities along the journey to take photos of windmills, canals, and even taste traditional Dutch cheese along the way!

  • Anne Frank House

The famous Diary of Anne Frank sheds light on what life was like during her two years of captivity in a secret annex during WWII. These anecdotes provide a heartbreaking reminder of a young girl’s struggle in impossible circumstances.

DAY FIVE>

Scenic Towns of Netherlands & Belgium

Today, we will explore the most scenic Dutch towns and Belgian villages on this full-day tour. Our local guide will discuss the history and culture of these picturesque towns along the way.

Kinderdijk is known for its historic windmills.

Antwerp features the unique architecture of the Dutch Renaissance, particularly in the Grote Markt Square and Central Station. Its gorgeous train station was built in 1905 and lovingly restored over the years. 

Ghent has lovely canals, artistic flair, and the fantastic Gravensteen Castle. This ancient castle was fortified in 1180!

​We will finish our day in the adorable town of Bruges, which is considered by many to be the most beautiful village in Belgium!

 

After we check-in to our hotel, we will have the evening to relax.

DAY SIX>

This morning, our private guide will meet us for a walking tour in the historic heart of Bruges and learn about fascinating stories and legends. View sites such as:

  • Market Square

  • Gruuthuse Palace

  • Lake of Love

  • Rosary Quay

  • The Smallest Street

  • And so much more!

 

Afterwards, we will have free time in the city to relax and explore at our leisure.

DAY SEVEN>

Bruges, Belgium

Today is a free day to go at your own pace or choose to join us on one of these incredible adventures!

  • Belgian Chocolate Experience 

Create your own Belgian chocolate during a Belgian chocolate-making workshop! You’ll learn to make three different types of chocolate from scratch—including pralines, truffles, and hot chocolate. Afterward, take home your amazing creations in a decadent golden box.

  • Beer BrewHaHa

Today, visit the rich history of Belgium’s most famous brewery, De Halve Maan. The journey begins in the brewing hall, where all the beers are brewed. Discover the many brewing methods that have been used over the past centuries. At the end of your journey, enjoy a beer with 360° panoramic views of the city at the rooftop bar.

DAY EIGHT>

This morning, we will proceed to the train station for a comfortable and scenic train journey across Belgium to the capital city of Brussels, which is famed for its charming blend of history and modernity.

After we check-in to our hotel, we will have the afternoon to explore the city.

We will stop at The Grand-Place; which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This market square, which dates back to the 12th century, offers a rich culinary scene, architectural delights, and great shopping.

OPTIONAL EXURSION:

  • Full Day Tour of Luxembourg

Today, take the train to the city of Luxembourg! This tiny country is full of wonderful surprises. Absorb the unique charm of Luxembourg as you visit landmarks like the Royal Palace, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the European Court of Justice with your knowledgeable guide. Before heading back to Brussels, stop in the beautiful town of Dinant and see its 13th-century cathedral.
