ITINERARY
DAY ONE>
Fly to Nairobi, Kenya
We will transfer from West Michigan, Chicago, or Detroit for our flight to the capital of Kenya, Nairobi! Our flight will include all meals, beverages, and entertainment. If the Chicago option is decided, we will provide roundtrip private shuttle transportation from West Michigan to O’Hare Airport.
DAY TWO>
Nairobi, Kenya
We will arrive in Kenya's bustling capital city in the evening. After clearing customs, collecting luggage, and exchanging currency, we will proceed to our private bus that will take us to our centrally located hotel for a night of rest.
We will be visiting during what is known as the “Green Season,” where the heavy rains from March and April bring forth lush shades of green to the grasses and trees. It also brings more pleasant temperatures.

DAY THREE>
Naivasha, Kenya
Today, our group will drive along the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Hells Gate National Park. This park has a unique landscape filled with spectacular gorges, towering cliffs, and geothermal steam, and is home to African buffalo, zebras, and over 100 species of birds! Here, we will have the opportunity to hike the gorges and see the real ‘Pride Rock’ that inspired the movie The Lion King!
After our lunch break, we will next head to Lake Naivasha! When we arrive, we will set out on a horseback riding safari to view the many animals that live in the oasis. Afterwards, we will board our safari boats to view the landscape and animals in and around the lake, such as hippos, crocodiles, and many types of birds.
After dinner, return to Nairobi for an evening of rest.

DAY FOUR>
Masai Mara, Kenya
Today, we will transfer to the Masai Mara region of Kenya. Masai Mara is one of the most famous wildlife conservation areas in Africa and home to many nomadic tribes with a unique humble culture. This evening, we will check-in to our wilderness lodge, where we will enjoy a delicious meal followed by a guided evening safari through the National Park, where we will try to spot lions, giraffes, gazelles, zebras, and more!

DAY FIVE>
Masai Mara, Kenya
Today, we will adventure out on a photo safari in Masai Mara National Park. Travel through the savannah in an open-top 4x4 safari vehicle and keep an eye out for the famous 'Big Five' – elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos and water buffaloes, as well as many other species. A highlight will be having an open-air picnic along the Mara River while spotting wildebeest migrating over to Serengeti National Park
Travel Tip* As you enter each park, make sure you take the opportunity to use the toilets at the visitor center entrance. Once you're out in the savannah, there are no toilets to use. If you do have to go to the bathroom while you're out on safari, you can't wander out behind a tree for privacy; you have to stay right next to the Jeep for safety.

DAY SIX>
Masai Village, Kenya
After breakfast, we will transfer back to Nairobi. Along the way, we will visit a local Masai Tribe and learn about their nomadic lifestyle, rich cultural traditions, and view their expert craftsmanship of beading and textiles.
Next, we will continue our journey back to Nairobi and enjoy views of the countryside along the way.

DAY SEVEN>
Nairobi, Kenya
After breakfast, we will head out and meet our local Kenyan tour guide in downtown Nairobi. They will take us on an in-depth cultural walking tour, where they will explain the history and culture of Kenya's amazing capital city. Visit sites such as:

This restaurant has won multiple awards for its fine cuisine. It is an all-you-can-eat smorgasbord that provides platters of familiar and exotic meats until you shout "enough, I'm done!" Carvers will move from table to table with a machete and carve sizzling hot meats onto our plates. *A vegetarian menu is also available.

David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant & Giraffe Center
See giraffes and elephants up close. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is renowned for the ethical conservancy of African animals. We will learn about the conservation efforts from expert caretakers.

DAY EIGHT>
Amboseli, Kenya
Today, we will transfer to Amboseli National Park, located on the border with Tanzania. After we check-in to our wilderness lodge, there will be time to relax and unwind before our evening safari drive. Lions are more likely to be active at this time of day! We will also get an amazing viewpoint of Mount Kilimanjaro!

DAY NINE>
Amboseli, Kenya
After breakfast, we will head out to Amboseli National Park once again for beautiful views of the savannah with Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa, towering on the horizon. Bring your camera and binoculars as you will be able to view gazelles, zebras, elephants, wildebeest, lions, and more! Amboseli is home to some of the largest herds of elephants!

Fly Home
Today, we will drive back to Nairobi and fly home in the evening; arriving back the next day
