Fly to Japan

Meet in West Michigan today, where we will board our private coach to transfer the group to the Detroit or Chicago airport for our flights to Japan!

Enjoy a comfortable flight on a full-service airline where we will have full meal service, complimentary beverages, in-flight personal entertainment, and premium comfort.

DAY TWO>

Arrive in Tokyo

This evening, we will arrive to the bustling city of Tokyo, Japan! Our private coach will pick us up at the airport and bring us to our centrally located hotel to relax and unwind.

DAY THREE>

Tokyo, Japan

This morning, adventure and learn about the complex history and culture of this dynamic capital city with your local guide! You will see such sites as:

  • Kanda Myojin

  • Akihabara

  • Arts Chiyoda

  • Ueno Park

  • Yushima Seido

Afterwards, stroll through the city at your own pace or opt for one of our cool excursions.

  • Studio Ghibli Museum

See the stunning work of true anime artisans at the Studio Ghibli Museum. Get to know the magic behind the making of amazing movies such as: Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away, and My Neighbor Totoro. This marvelous space transports you into the world of Hayao Miyazaki and the strange landmarks which often appear in his films.

  • Shibuya Sky

 

See the city from a bird’s eye view at the Shibuya Sky Tower. Bask in the sunset as the city lights shimmer below. Our skip-the-line tickets will grant us access to the rooftop observation deck.

  • Japanese Dinner Cruise 

Discover this buzzing city by boat! This delicious dinner cruise will glide through the Tokyo harbor with panoramic views surrounded by a glittering city skyline.

DAY FOUR>

Hakone, Japan

Today, take a private coach to the beautiful city of Hakone! There are many amazing ways to see Mount Fuji from this city. When we arrive, we will have the option to walk down to the sparkling Hakone Lake and board a traditional pirate ship! Cruise the lake with stunning views of Mount Fuji towering above the valley.

Next, hop onto the Hakone Ropeway. This cable car provides amazing panoramic views of the lake, city, and surrounding mountains.

 

Afterwards, we will take a private coach back to Tokyo in the evening.

DAY FIVE>

Tokyo, Japan

Choose to take a stroll over the rainbow bridge; opt to take the subway to shop in the chic Shibuya neighborhood; or try one of our awesome optional adventures!

OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS​​

  • City Street Go-Kart Tour

Zoom through city streets on this thrilling go-kart adventure through Tokyo Bay! Our go-karts will zip pass exciting landmarks such as the Tokyo Tower, the Rainbow Bridge, and so much more on this 2-hour adventure.  

  • Tokyo Street Food Tour

Tokyo is known to have some of the best and unique cuisine in the world. We will join our local guide and dig in to tasty treats throughout this delicious city. Satisfy your cravings with local food and cultural highlights along the way.   

  • Meiji Jingu Shrine 

 

Arrive to this peaceful temple nestled in a lush garden in the big city. You will visit the museum before heading to see the treasures of the shrine’s collection on display. This stunning architecture is a memorial to the Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken, which was completed in 1920.

DAY SIX>

Kyoto, Japan

This morning, we will transfer to Kyoto on a high-speed bullet train. A private coach will meet us at the train station and bring us to our hotel in downtown Kyoto. There will be time to get settled in before we adventure into the city!

Get to know the real Kyoto when you join your guide for a walking tour of the city. Visit beautiful Shinto shrines, temples, and pagodas in this traditional city. See sites such as:

  • Geisha quarters of Gion Shirakawa

  • Higashiyama District

  • Yasaka Pagoda

  • Maruyama Park

  • Kiyomizu Temple

 

After, relax and unwind at the hotel or take time to explore beautiful Kyoto.

DAY SEVEN>

Kyoto, Japan

Today is yours! It is a free day to take at your own pace. Wake up slow and lounge at the hotel, opt to explore and shop in Kyoto, or choose one of our amazing optional excursions!

OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS

  • Osaka Half-Day Bike Tour

This morning, take the train to the exciting city of Osaka! Enjoy a relaxing hybrid bike ride while stopping at major scenic areas such as Nakanoshima Park, Osaka Castle, and Utsubo Park ,with historical and cultural information provided along the way 

Enjoy free time in the city before taking the train back to Kyoto this evening. 

  • Full Day at Super Nintendo World 

Jump into the land inspired by the most famous video games of our time. Join Mario and Luigi on adventures through the Mushroom Kingdom. This whole world is your playground! Power up for an amazing day in Super Nintendo World! Amusement Park!

  • Traditional Tea Ceremony 

Learn Japanese culture and etiquette with a traditional tea ceremony. Once we put on our kimonos, we will join our host to learn the comprehensive steps of becoming a tea brewing master. Sip high-quality matcha tea from beautiful porcelain cups.

DAY EIGHT>

Kyoto, Japan

Today is a free day to rest, relax, shop, and explore the beautiful city of Kyoto, Japan. We have some optional excursions listed for this day. 

OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS

  • Samurai Training and Museum

Explore the history and art of Japanese warriors in this museum filled with armor, weapons, and artifacts. Next, learn what it takes to be a Samurai warrior in the dojo! Once we are dressed in hakama trousers and kimono’s, our training begins. We will learn katana wielding, strong fighting stances, throw ninja stars, and feel the “spirit of the Samurai” in this exciting workshop!

  • Bento Box Japanese Cooking Class 

In this 3-hour cooking class, we will learn to make a traditional dish known as the Bento Box. In this workshop, our master chef will demonstrate Japanese cooking techniques. We will learn how to make sushi rolls, teriyaki chicken, miso soup, and so much more! After, we will enjoy a cup of tea with our delicious dishes.

DAY NINE>

Kyoto, Japan

Today, we escape the city and head to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest by train. This unique forest is filled with towering bamboo, sacred temples, and even a monkey park! The Monkey Park is filled with wild Japanese macaque monkeys. Climb the hill and feed the monkeys for a small fee.

Afterwards, we will have a free afternoon to explore Kyoto or relax at the hotel.

DAY TEN>

Kyoto, Japan

Today, enjoy a free day to relax or explore Kyoto with new friends in the group! Kyoto was Japan's capital for over 1000 years before Tokyo in 1863. This historic city has great museums, shrines, temples, zen gardens, restaurants, and shopping!

DAY ELEVEN>

Fly Home

Today, our private coach will transfer us to the airport for our flights back to the USA. Our flights include meals, beverages, and entertainment.
