ITINERARY
DAY ONE>
Sleeping Bear Dunes, MI
Today you will stop in Ludington, MI, and explore the White Pine Village! The acreage is home to a historic outdoor museum containing thirty nineteenth-century buildings and related historical items!
Next, you drive to the Sleeping Dunes National Lakeshore near Frankfort, and delight in the Pierce Scenic vistas before your leisurely walk overlooking the blue waters of Lake Michigan. Before departure, you will spend a few minutes in the local tourist center to see nature exhibits and learn about the
area’s rich history.
After, you will continue on to beautiful Traverse City for overnight lodging.
DAY TWO>
Traverse City, MI
You will begin the day with a walk through two of Traverse Cities' most popular markets before heading to the Commons, which used to be Michigan’s Largest Insane Asylum! Here you will enjoy a guided tour and have free time to shop for arts and crafts in the many artisan stores.
This afternoon, you will travel along a scenic road up the Mission Point Peninsula, where you will indulge in wine tasting at two of Michigan’s finest wineries!
Next, you will stop to climb Mission Point Lighthouse and explore an 1800s cabin.
Your day will be topped off with an adventurous walk around the quaint village of Fish Town, before heading to Suttons Bay for dinner.
Then back to our hotel for a second night’s stay in Traverse City.

DAY THREE>
Petoskey, MI
After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for Charlevoix where you will have a fun walking tour of
the charming Mushroom Houses and a brief tour of the local historical museum. After, you will have free time to enjoy the harbor and drawbridge area shops.
This afternoon, you explore the beautiful city of Petoskey! This is where Ernest Hemingway loved to dine and lodge during his time in Michigan. Enjoy a guided tour of the beautiful Sculpture Park.
And of course, we end the day with a leisurely walk on the famous shores of Petoskey in search
of our own Petoskey stones to take home as souvenirs!

DAY FOUR>
Lake Superior
Today, you will cross the Might Mac to enter the beautiful Upper Peninsula! Your first stop will be in lovely Munising, where you will trek around the beauty of Wagner Falls and Munising Falls.
Opt to have a traditional northern Michigander lunch of Pasties before heading out on the waters of Lake Superior on the Glass Bottom Boat Shipwreck Tours! On this two-hour excursion, we’ll be able to peer down into the waters below and see two actual shipwrecks up close and personal!
This evening, you will check into your hotel and get some rest.

DAY FIVE>
Pictured Rocks
Following our hotel breakfast, you will journey to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore for spectacular views on breathtaking walks. We will take our time and enjoy the beauty of this shoreline landscape!
Next, you venture to Michigan’s grandest – Tahquamenon Falls, where you take the trails to both
the upper and lower falls for dazzling photos!
You will end the day in Paradise, MI for rest and relaxation.

DAY SIX>
Mackinac Island, MI
After breakfast at our hotel, you will drive to the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum for a tour of Michigan’s most haunted lighthouse, and explore the museum, which houses the actual bell from the Edmund Fitzgerald! You will learn about the many shipwrecks before meandering to the water’s edge to see the fateful waters for yourself.
Then we head to our major attraction – Mackinac Island! We stop first at Mackinac City to
board our catamaran ferry and then arrive on the Island! Take time today to enjoy the many shops and restaurants on the island’s main
street.

DAY SEVEN>
Mackinac Island, MI
After breakfast, Gary will take you on a leisurely bike tour of the island to see sites such as:
